Question
How do I build my self worth when my peers are constantly putting me down?
Answer
You must start by building a deep love for yourself.
A love that goes far beyond your physical appearance. A love that knows no boundaries.
The more love and acceptance you have for yourself on the inside the better you will treat yourself on the outside.
Same goes for your peer group. Once they see how you want to be treated by the way you treat yourself they will change or you'll find yourself surround by an entirely different group.
People treat us the way we treat ourselves. If you put yourself down by saying negative things about what you do, how you dress, how you look. Even if you don't verbally express it out loud, your actions show it.
Tell yourself everyday how much you love yourself, how much you enjoy your company. And others will too!
If you’re not sure how to begin the process of self love, spend some time on this site and learn how to create a deep loving relationship with yourself. The effort is well worth the result.
Best of luck to you.
