5 steps to building high self esteem

Building high self esteem is an inward journey that requires nothing more then a good attitude and a willingness to take small daily action that leads to big change.

Do you want to feel better about yourself? Glow from the inside out? Attract more positive and uplifting people in your life?

Well then take the next 5 minutes to read this short article. Because all this is possible when you invest the time in yourself to building high self esteem that will last forever.

Before we really get into it, I would like you to commit this quote to memory and repeat it often. It will help change your focus from external to internal.

Now lets take a look at these five steps to building high self esteem. They can and will change your life. Theses steps will turn your life upside down and inside out…but in a good way of course.

They will help you shake things up a bit. Because most of the negative things in your life were created from poor or harmful behaviors repeated daily that were formed into habits.

Habits like…

• Smoking cigarettes

• Using drugs

• Drinking alcohol

• Over eating or eating the wrong types of foods

• Using profanity

• No or little exercise

• Watching excessive TV

As you can see these are not great habits to have. But hey we all have to have a few bad habits but we don’t have to allow them to take over our life. Or worse, allow them to run our life. We’re in charge! And building high self esteem is completely under your control.

So are you ready to make some changes, then? Are you ready to start living a more rewarding and fulfilling life? A live filled with hope, joy, and laughter. Great!




Here we go…

1) Read You Can Heal Your Life by Louise Hay. This book will take you from “everyone is out to get me. I am not safe in this world.” to “the entire Universe supports me. I am safe in life.” This book will guide you safely inward to help you identify and release what’s holding you back from being you.

2) Keep a self development journal. That’s a journal that records your progress through life. I want you to use this journal to record your thoughts and feelings. What you intend to do and what you’ve already done. If journaling is new to you and you don’t know where to start. Start by writing down how this article made you feel and what you intend to do with the information.

3) Next, stop whatever your doing that’s causing you pain! Yes stop it! How you may ask? By changing your focus. Changing how you perceive things in your life. For example, if you hate your job, make a list of 25 reasons why you appreciate it. Write down everything your job currently does for you. This exercise will help you focus on the positive instead of the negative. Do this for everything you feel negatively about in your life right now. This little exercise can be very liberating.

4) Exercise. I want you to get up and do something for at least 30 minutes, 3 days a week. If you’ve never exercised before, don’t feel like you have to go out and buy $300 worth of exercise equipment. You don’t even have to buy a gym membership for $60 a month. Just go for a walk. Start there and as you become more motivated to exercise (and you will when you experience how good it makes you feel) then upgrade.

5) Finally, take the time to be by yourself and be present. Become intensely aware of your surroundings. Don’t judge, just notice. During this time it’s best if you don’t watch TV or clean the house. Don’t read the newspaper or talk on the phone. Just be there with yourself. I’m not asking you to mediate (although you can if you want to). I’m asking you to spend some quite time with yourself to RELAX! To let it all go even if it’s just for 5 minutes. We get so wrapped up with this, that and the other thing that we become consumed by it.

These five simple steps will help you with building high self esteem. They’ll also you to create positive results in all areas of your life. They will help you form new optimistic habits. Habits that will get you more in tuned with your life and the way you want things to be.

Life is what you make of it. And the way to make it is to take small daily steps in the right direction for your desired outcome.
