How can I boost esteem when in an emotionally abusive relationship?

Answer
First of all I want you to do an exercise where you take a piece of paper and on one side write all the good things about your relationship. Then on the other side write all the bad things. If the good outweigh the bad then work on that relationship but if the bad outweigh the good you really need to make the hard decision to stay or leave the relationship.

As for you feeling better. You need to examine your life as a whole. From your question I would assume your relationship isn’t working. How is your health? You finances? Your social life? Your spiritual connection? Your career?

Once you examine all areas of your life, you’ll know where you’re at and then make a plan for where you want to be.

You’ll start to feel better when you start doing things that make your life as a whole more rewarding and fulfilling.
