With a healthy amount of self confidence anything is possible.
What is self confidence - and how can I get more of it?
I like, I love, I want some more of it...okay I know that's a song but isn't that how we feel?
To answer that question...it's the confidence in oneself and in one's powers and abilities.
Now don't get all down on yourself. And start the negative internal dialogue that always plays when you here or talk about your own powers and abilities.
You do posses them but now you must believe in them. God gave them to you when He created you. So don't worry about having to go somewhere to find them.
Just take a close look at the YOU that you are now. What does your behavior say about you, your body language, your tone and the words you use to communicate.
Do they shout out in positive or negative way? This is the only information you need to make a change.
People with high self confidence:
• Speak clearly
• Admits when wrong
• Admits they don't know something
• Acts responsible
• Is Assertive
• Independent
• Mature
• Honest
• Trustworthy
Now make a list of all the traits above that you currently posses. And a list of the one's you want to achieve. Self confidence and self esteem are very closely related.
In my opinion you cannot build one without the other. And that's a good thing. Because the better you feel, the better you look, the better you act. It's a snowball effect.
Focus on solutions to change.
And give yourself credit for your own personal achievements. I know you have some. If you can't think of any right now keep trying.
Think back to when you were in grade school and high school.
Did you ace a test?
Help a kid who was being bullied?
Performed well in sports?
What about now in your current life...
Do you take care of your family?
Teach your kids manners and respect...take a look around. Not many parents can claim this responsibility.
Do you eat healthy foods?
Do you exercise?
If you honestly cannot think of something you have achieved.
Then break through your procrastination by completing a task you've been putting off.
The simple act of completing something you set out to do will boost your self confidence and self esteem.
