And hey, you can do them all by yourself, with a partner or in a crowded room. It really doesn't matter. Besides, it's your self esteem journey, so you get to choose.
But I will say, that the BEST practice would be to do something - anything every single day. Something that gets you in the habit of personal development.
So it's your choice. You can start with any these self esteem activities that you consider easy for YOU to do right now.
And work your way through the others as you advance on your journey.

Now let's get into it. Here are 10 self esteem activities that are sure to brighten your day.
1. S-M-I-L-E :)))
That's right smile. It's free and it actually takes less energy then frowning. So to get you used to the look and feel, I want you to smile in the mirror for a FULL minute. If this sounds to simple and easy (or maybe even a little silly) to do any real good in your life, then go try it now. Smiling always makes you feel better.
2. Make eye contact
Say hello and make eye contact with everyone you encounter today. Start
with the people you live with. Then the people you see at the grocery store. The gas
station. The post office. Your co-workers. Everyone who is within sight. No exceptions. This will force you out of your comfort zone and that's a good thing.
3. State affirmations to yourself
Repeat to yourself or out loud if there isn't anyone around to think you've completely lost your mind, "I love and accept myself". Say this at least 100 times during the day - every day without fail. Click here to learn more about self esteem affirmation!
4.
Write in a journal
Write in a journal at least 3 times a week. This is a great self esteem activity
because it allows you to be yourself. Write whatever comes to mind. If
nothing does, then write out the statement from above - "I love and
accept myself" a hundred times. Journaling is huge. If you've never tried it you may underestimate it's power. Give it a try!
5. Make new friends
Make some new friends. This might be a scary thought if your a shy person but
if you are able to push past your fears you'll grow exponential with
this activity. I know it isn't easy to talk to strangers but it can be. Once you start, you'll wonder what all the fuss was about in the beginning.
6. Do something different.
It seems like we all get caught in this trap of doing the same things over and over again. No wonder we're bored, hey? Well not anymore. You're going to commit to do something different. It can be anything you choose to start with. For instance, you could go to a new restaurant, sign up for an exercise class, or join a local group, go to church, etc.
7. Laugh out loud really hard
A good belly laugh, one that leaves you gasping for air. Even if you have to fake it for awhile. Do it. It works wonders. A good laugh is not only refreshing, it's also great for your health. I believe that laughter is one of the things that is missing from a lot of peoples lives. We just take life way to seriously these days. We need to laugh more. I need to laugh more. I'm definitely take my own advice on this one.
8. Make positive lists
Make an "I'm grateful for..."
list. Write out everything you're currently grateful for. I don't care
if you have to start with one or two things on your list, do this
activity. It will change the way you see yourself and your life.
9. Dance!
Turn on some music and get
moving. This simple activity alone could get you your good belly laugh.
You don't have to be a contestant on Dancing With The Stars, just move
your body in a way that feels good. You know emotions are driving a lot by your motions. So get moving.
10. Make peace with yourself
Forgive yourself for anything and everything that your ashamed of. This can be from the past or present. Forgive yourself for every mistake you've ever made, for every thing you wished you never said, and for every time that you wished it could of been different. Start fresh today. A clean slate. No exception!
If you can commit to at least try some, if not all, of these self esteem building activities then you'll notice a difference in how you feel immediately.
Self esteem is all really all about how YOU feel about yourself. Not what others think of you. We may believe that matters in the beginning but we soon realize that it's a lot less important then we once thought.
