Self esteem activities

Use these self esteem activities to help you along the path of self discovery.

Don't worry these activities are not hard and they won't cost you a ton of money. And hey, you can do them all by yourself, with your partner or in a crowded room. It's your self esteem journey you choose.

The best practice would be to do something...anything every single day.

So start with a self esteem activity you consider easy for YOU to do.

And work your way through the other self esteem building activities as you advance on your journey.

There's no right or wrong way to do these activities. There's no order to follow.

Self esteem activities, self esteem building, self esteem exersices Just do what works best for.

1. Smile in the mirror for a FULL minute (sound to simple and easy? Go try it now!)

2. Say Hello to everyone you encounter today. Start with the people you live with. Then at the grocery store. The gas station. The post office. Your co-workers. Everyone. No exceptions.

3. Say to yourself (out loud if there isn't anyone around to think you completely lost your mind) I love and accept myself. Say this at least 100 times during the day everyday without fail. This is called a self esteem affirmation!

4. Write in a journal. Write a journal entry at least 3 times a week. This is a great self esteem activity. Write whatever comes to mind. If nothing does write out the statement above. I love and accept myself a hundred times.

5. Make eye contact with a stranger and smile. Almost every time you will get a smile in return. And it feels good to exchange this little moment of happiness with someone else.

6. Find a good book to read. It can be anything to start with. Just pick something you enjoy. Something that will take your mind of yourself for a bit to get some peace and quiet. Here you'll find some recommendations of my all time favorite books to help with your self esteem building development.

7. Laugh out loud. A good belly laugh. Even if you have to fake it for awhile. Do it. It works wonders.

8. Make an "I'm grateful for..." list. Put everything you're currently grateful for down on a piece of paper. Or hey make a journey entry of your list! If you think right now you have nothing to be grateful for, trust me you do. The fact that you’re able to read this should make you grateful. The fact that you’re able to breathe on your own should make you feel grateful.

9. Dance! Turn on some music a get moving. This simple activity alone could get you your good belly laugh.

10. Make peace with yourself. Forgive yourself for anything your ashamed of from the past or present. Forgive yourself for every mistake you've ever made. Start fresh today. A clean slate. No exception!
