Self hatred

Self hatred is one of the worst feelings you can have. Because it does not matter how others see you, it matters how you see yourself. As a matter of fact, you can be the most popular person with your friends and family and still suffer from self hatred.

When everyone goes home and you are left with yourself, it’s at that moment when the negative self talk begins. You start feeling lonely and scared. This is when your mind starts to look for busy work.

Something to take your mind off the loneness and uncomfortable feelings.

The best way to overcome self hatred is to feed your mind with positive words, images and affirmations.

I would not advise that you read a negative story, or watch a violent movie or even allow your mind to ramble on about how worthless and incompetent you are.

Self hatred comes from allowing yourself to wonder too long in this negative place within yourself. This place where you begin to recall old memories that aren't pleasant.

Staying in that place for too long with eventually sent you into a place of hopelessness and despair. But that is the pattern you most need to break in order to feel good about yourself.

So here’s what I want you to do the next time you find yourself in that place –

- Get Jim Rohn’s book Five Major Pieces to the Life Puzzle and read it when you’re feeling low and negative.

- Create a vision board and put it where you can see it every day. This will be a constant reminder to feed yourself with positive images to bring about positive results.

- Repeat to yourself silently or out loud, “I love and accept myself!” Say this at least 100 times a day until you believe it from the top of your head to the tips of your toes.

- Pick up a copy of Louise Hay’s book You Can Heal Your Life because it is jam packed with some of the best self esteem affirmations and advice to help you overcome self hatred.

Feeding your mind with positive words, images and affirmations will have a profound impact on your self love and self acceptance. Two of the very things that determine you level of self esteem.

So in the beginning you must do it every day. Create the habit of building your self esteem and you will be free of self hatred.

You will be free of self criticism and the feelings of self worthlessness. Become so busy feeding your mind with happy thoughts and images and you won’t have time to put yourself down.

You won’t have time to create negative and violent situations in your life anymore. And the more good things you feed your mind with the more good things you’ll attract in your life.

The more you begin to shift your thoughts and feelings away from self hatred the more positive experiences you’ll draw into your life.

The more upbeat and energetic you become the easier it will be for you to draw like minded people into your life.

And the negative people you have in your life will get better too or they’ll slowly start to move away from you emotionally.

Because you’ll find that as your self esteem goes up the harder it will be for you to maintain a negative environment. You won’t feel comfortable or satisfied in that situation anymore. And that’s a good thing.

Everything in your life will change for the better and you’ll be rewarded physically, mentally, spiritually and financially.

The key is to take control of your thoughts, feelings and actions so that you can eliminate self hatred from your life and enjoy personal fulfillment.

But you cannot wait around for someone else to do it for you. You must take the initiative to change your life for the better. You are the only one who can leave self hatred behind for self love.

And trust me once you make that switch it’s almost always permanent because it’s a lot harder to go back than it is to move forward.
